I have a question! What if i place a transformer in place of L1. What would happen? 2nd thing is that if it takes 2 amps from the power supply at 12 volts and outputs 36v 30amps that means input power = 24watts and output power is 1080 watts. Is it true? at 24 watts i get 1080watts? and if i can couple same circuits in parallel, i get more current? Plus, is this energy not infinite that way? you input 24 watt and get 1080. Power grid systems should use this and we may never run out of electricity ..

You could try driving the bi-stsble circuit with either a square wave generator eg your giveaway, a 555 timer astable circuit or a 74 cmos equivalent. You will get much better ride times for your could you will .need a fast switching transistor or mosfet. Love your videos very funny and entertaining, have passe on your LTlost channel to my daughters it might encourage their child

i think you should no permanently fix the extension board to table. So that, when you are pulling any plug it is fast and it is not taking the socket along it, at times, leaving a small unexposed gab which is not safe.

Hi in your schematic on website you choose 47 ohm for R5. Shouldn't it be 470 ohms? I spend some time in LTspiece trying to figure out why i have 4 Kilo amps on my inductors and looks like the value of this resistor is wrong. The video was great as always!

I admire you for some time now. You should teach in schools or Universities: children, students and adults your way. Because most teachers are too serious and demand respect, but times change and people evolve. You make the electrical and applied Physics most interactive and fun and in this way you will attract people. You attract us adults and you have a lot of fans. Because masked in the funny videos that I know they are not easy to create, you teach real science :) I know you have degree in science, you have a Wikipedia page dedicated, your channel is live and funny and as I said, it teaches some real science for people that want to learn or improve their general knowledge. Keep doing this. We love you Mehdi :)

5:51 why put the diode In parallel with the inductanctor. It would make more sense to put the diode in series with the inductor since it would more effectively limit current travel
The Great Zoom
The Great Zoom Prieš 14 dienų
It's a flyback diode. When an inductor has current moving through it and is suddenly disconnected, it still has a lot of energy stored in its magnetic field and that energy gets dumped into an opposing voltage that tries to drive current through in the same direction it was going before you disconnected the part. Because the circuit is open, the voltage can spike to very high levels (kilovolts in some cases) since no current can flow and destroy sensitive components like that FET. The diode, when forward biased, has a constant voltage drop of about 0.7V. It becomes forward biased when the inductor is disconnected and tries to push current through with its own back EMF, and rather than letting the voltage spike it limits it to 0.7V and instead draws a high current. The current disappears too quickly to damage the diode since the electric field doesn't store a lot of energy.
